Febrary is American Heart Month

FCMG reminds you that February is American Heart Month -- which was established by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to educate the public about heart disease and stroke. Additionally, the American Heart Association (AHA) leverages the month to step up promotion of healthier living with the goal of eradicating heart disease and stroke.

 How can you get involved?

  • Participate in National Wear Red Day on February 7 to end heart disease and stroke in women.
  • Promote awareness February 7-11 during Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week.
  • Consider contributing to the movement to end heart disease and stroke by donating.

And, of course, be sure to remain engaged with your FCMG healthcare provider (e.g. annual check-ups!) and never hesitate to ask questions you may have about YOUR risk of heart disease or stroke.
