ribbon cutting at new FamilyCare Medical Group laboratory

FamilyCare Medical Group Unveils State-of-the-Art Laboratory Upgrades

FamilyCare Medical Group is proud to announce the ribbon cutting of its newly upgraded laboratory, introducing a suite of advanced instrumentation systems that represent a significant leap forward in diagnostic capability, operational efficiency, and patient care.

The upgrades position FamilyCare’s laboratory at the forefront of modern diagnostics, combining intelligent automation with high-precision testing platforms to deliver faster and more reliable results for patients across the region.

A new era of laboratory automation

Leading the transformation is the Abbott GLP Systems Track, a powerful automation solution that streamlines sample handling and workflow management from end to end. By significantly reducing manual intervention, the system minimizes human error while improving turnaround times — ultimately supporting faster, more reliable results for clinicians and patients alike.

Complementing this is the implementation of AlinIQ AMS, an advanced laboratory automation and management solution that unifies instruments, data, and processes into a single, seamlessly connected environment. AlinIQ AMS enhances connectivity and workflow optimization across multiple systems, enabling the laboratory team to operate with greater efficiency and productivity.

Expanding diagnostic capabilities

FamilyCare is also introducing the Alinity ci-Series, a unified platform that brings together clinical chemistry and immunoassay testing under one roof. Known for its flexibility and high throughput, the Alinity ci enables the laboratory team to process a broad range of tests with improved consistency and performance — meeting the growing and evolving demands of modern diagnostics.

Rounding out the upgrade are two new precision analyzers: the Sysmex XN-10 and the Tosoh G8. Widely recognized for their accuracy and reliability, these systems bolster FamilyCare’s hematology and specialized testing capabilities, ensuring consistently high-quality results across multiple clinical disciplines.

Marvin Reyes, FCMG Assistant Laboratory Manager says, “These technologies represent a significant investment in the future of our laboratory. By embracing automation, integration, and advanced analytics, we are better equipped than ever to support patient care with speed, accuracy, and confidence.”

What this means for patients

Together, these technologies enable FamilyCare to deliver a higher standard of laboratory medicine. Patients and providers can expect shorter wait times for results, greater diagnostic accuracy, and the confidence that comes from a laboratory investing continuously in innovation. This milestone reflects FamilyCare Medical Group’s unwavering commitment to the communities it serves — and to the patients at the heart of everything it does.
