Laboratory Tech
A busy POL laboratory in downtown Syracuse is seeking a NYS licensed tech to work two evenings per week from 4 PM until 7:30-8:00 PM. The candidate must possess good communication skills and work well with other team members. They will use established protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results. LPN Position Responsibilities:
- Assist clinicians with office exams and procedures
- Provides nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or clinicians
- Works collaboratively with all other staff to assist the patient and facilitate a successful interaction within the practice

- Provides patient education regarding health conditions during appointments and by phone

Full or Part Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
FamilyCare Medical Group is looking for a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. We have several locations to choose from such as Cortland, Cicero or if you are looking for more of a specialty office try our Center for Sinus & Allergy Care.
Primary responsibilities include direct patient care and follow-up, ordering proper tests and medications, review of laboratory and medical records and providing patient education to ensure quality patient care for the care and treatment of established and new patients. Diabetes/Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner
FamilyCare Medical Group, PC, a multispecialty physician group, is in search of a Diabetes/Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner who will function as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and will be given considerable autonomy to provide high-quality comprehensive care in the outpatient setting, focusing on patients with diabetes.

About the position:
- NP will provide direct care to adult patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, weight management, prescribe diabetic medications and titrate insulin, provide patient education on diabetes and prediabetes, as well as glucometer and insulin use. Will manage use of insulin pumps, continuous glucose sensors, and related diabetes technology
- NP will provide direct clinical care for the patient population according to established protocols and utilize evidence-based practice standards.
- NP will perform approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based on the patient’s clinical status.
- NP will address patient and family concerns and create a therapeutic relationship to provide support. Will provide patient education, counseling, and instruction regarding patient diagnosis, medical treatments, medications, and preventative care, as well as identify patient/family need for community resources and refers them appropriately.
