What’s going on?
Each year, FamilyCare Medical Group partners with insurance providers to help keep our services affordable for our patients while continuing to provide a high standard of care. While other major insurers have partnered with us, including United, Aetna and Humana, we have been unable to renew our contract with Excellus BCBS.
What does this mean for me?
Starting January 1, 2022, patients with an Excellus BCBS plan may no longer be in-network with FamilyCare Medical Group doctors. This would lead to significantly higher co-pays for our patients who are currently covered by an Excellus BCBS plan.
How can I speak up?
If you’re currently covered by an Excellus BCBS plan, we encourage you to contact them at 1-800-499-1275 to determine how much higher your healthcare costs will be if they do not agree to a new contract with us.
